Welcome!
Welcome!
Many warm welcomes to Cabbages and Kings, a place where I can share my diverse interests, thoughtful tidbits, provoking excerpts, tasty recipes, reviews, and family updates. The official plan is to post twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, but I would covet your patience as I seek to fit this into my schedule. To learn more me, my family, and our faith, please visit the page About Me.
The name I have given this weblog is at least representative of my rather eclectic personal interests. My favorite things to contemplate include reading, writing, political history, home-keeping, healthy and tasty cooking, taking tea, architecture, theology, Civil War reenacting, historic clothing, handwork, cottage gardening, farm living, holistic medicine, midwifery, and graphic design.
I encourage you to also browse my article, narrative, poetry, and multimedia pages. I seek to therein glorify God through encouraging ladies to wholeheartedly embrace their womanhood and their families at home.
"The time has come to talk of many things: of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings..." Who knows where my rambling thoughts will take me next?
