A Hymn to Him: Jeeves and Wooster
A Hymn to Him: Jeeves and Wooster
Bertie Wooster wonders why the women in his life can’t be more like his man Jeeves. When one is surrounded by the likes of Honoria Glossop, “Stiffy” Bing, and Aunt Agatha, it’s only a natural question.
It is not often that I share something from YouTube, but my fellow Wodehouse fans will agree with me that this video is a gem. Jolly good in fact! A real corker.
Wooster: Do you know what I look for in a song, Jeeves?
Jeeves: Not precisely, sir. I have often speculated.
Wooster: A spot of philosophy, Jeeves. Something to make you think! Just listen to this.
Hugh Laurie is the delightfully inane Bertram Wilberforce Wooster. Stephen Fry is his always impeccable man Jeeves. Rex Harrisson lends his voice in the character of Professor Higgins of My Fair Lady.
Wooster: I mean, are these the acts of rational human beings?
Jeeves: It’s difficult to say, sir.

Oh my, that was SO funny! That is one of our family’s favorite songs, and of course, you know my views on Jeeves and Wooster! :-) One of the most delightful video montages I’ve seen in a while!! Thanks for sharing!

Wasn’t it a riot? Our family has had such great fun going through the complete episodes of Jeeves and Wooster.
