Twenty-four Hours
The man drove a fancy car and sported expensive sunglasses and designer clothing. He commented on the number of children running around, and Papa told him we had seven. The man smirked. “You guys must not have any time.”
Papa laughed. He always does. “Life’s an adventure,” he said.
I wasn’t near enough to reply, but the answer struck me with almost physical force. “We have the same twenty-four hours you do.”
What are you doing with your twenty-four hours?
