We Voted Today
Four of us voted earlier this week. Armed with copies of the sample ballot filled according to information from the Christian Coalition and the Homeschool Legal Defense Association, we arrived at our voting center in unintentional alphabetical order. After we had cast our ballots, a friendly man at the door gave each of us a sticker that declared “I Voted Today!” As we walked out to the car, the girls fished in their purses for a place to tuck our stickers.
“We should put our stickers on the back of the car,” Papa suddenly suggested. “You know how they put up those people stickers to show how many kids are in the family. But I don’t just have children; I have voters.”
So, as an emblem of family solidarity and power, four voting stickers march along the bottom of the car’s rear window.
