Hi, my name is Phillip. I come from a family of seven children. I always wanted a blog, and now I have one!
In spare moments I am reading the Faerie Queen for the first time. At the slow but steady rate of one canto per month I find myself apparently occupied for the next six years, and happily so. So much have I enjoyed reading, taking notes, and looking at illustrations, that I have started collecting and archiving my efforts here. May it be a help to you on your way to Goodness, Beauty and Truth.
Larkrise enjoys reading poetry, writing essays, researching health topics and teaching children. Privacy of Light—which takes its name from Wordsworth’s poem—is a place to record her daily enjoyment of language, history, art and domesticity. This site is updated twice weekly.
Goethe said that everyone should read a little poetry and see a fine picture every day, to prevent worldly cares from overcoming our sense of the beautiful. Get your daily dose of beauty at Wrestle with the Angel.
