I very much enjoy the variety and challenge my health studies provide, but there are times I stare hopelessly at a closely-lined page strewn with polysyllabic nomenclature of obscure Latin and Greek origin.
I know it is largely a matter of time; phenylalanine and isothiocyanate run glibly off my tongue now. But there are days when only Rhapsody in Blue keeps me from screaming, “May I die of vesication resulting from prolonged application of isothiocyanate glycosides, before I read another research paper!” Or something like that.
Thank goodness for Gershwin and green tea.
